GTA Online's Mini Cooper Week Hasn't Won Over The Haters

Image
Small cars are the focus of the latest Grand Theft Auto Online event, and the community has reacted with jokes, anger, and a bit of confusion. For those who are upset, it seems you can blame a classic film from the 1960s for this week's Mini Cooper themed festivities. The Weeny Issi is GTA's parody of and equivalent to the popular and tiny Mini Cooper. It's been a part of GTA Online since the game launched back in 2013. Variations of this car have been added over the years, with the Issi Classic added in 2018 and the Issi Sport added last year. Now, the Issi and all variations are being given a whole week of love and attention from Rockstar.Currently, all models of the Issi are 50% off, and players can win an Issi of their very own if they get lucky in the casino. Rockstar is also giving everyone who logs into GTA Online during this week a free Weeny Issi brand t-shirt. For those who like to race, all Issi Classic races are doling out triple rewards. Personally, I like this

iWave i.MX8M Mini Board with NXP eIQ ML Software Enables Low Cost Facial Recognition System

Image
Have you recently been skeptical of using a contact-based access system in your office or a public place? This trait is a major concern in most places for a valid reason. An access surface in a public place is used by many individuals, which makes it a potential source for contracting the deadly Covid 19 virus. Taking this into account, iWave Systems, a leading embedded solutions provider, has successfully demonstrated an alternative solution using facial recognition technology. The solution helps customers with a zero-contact access application by using individuals' faces to authorize access to a commercial/industrial space, home/office, transportation, banking, and Government sites. Facial Recognition Facial Recognition is the process of recognizing the identity of a person by using their facial features against a previously stored database. It is a technology that uniquely identifies or verifies a person by comparing and analysing patterns based on the p

The best mini laptop

Image
Whether it's to keep up with work from the office, stay on top of school assignments, or just browse the web, most of us need a travel-ready device to keep us connected to the rest of the world when we're on the go. A smartphone or tablet certainly comes in handy, but touchscreen keyboards aren't always the best option for more detailed work. Laptops make it easier to type, but they can be big and bulky -- which is where the mini laptop comes in. It's smaller and more compact than a traditional laptop, but it offers a fully functional keyboard that makes sending off emails or finishing a term paper a breeze. Many people find the compromises you have to make on processing power and screen size well worth the added convenience. Best Mini Laptops in 2020 - Find the Best Small Form Laptop Right Now

Short exploration game Depanneur Nocturne now available for PC

KO_OP has announced and released Depanneur Nocturne, a short exploration game about poking around a convenience store and finding a gift with the help of its owner. It is available for PC via Steam for $4.99. Depanneur Nocturne is part of KO_OP mini, a new initiative within KO_OP that allows the development team to be able to experiment without the demands of a large production. Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page: About 10:50 PM. My bichette is waiting at home and I'm determined to bring her something special. The little dépanneur on this side street may still be open. It's my last chance. A small game by G.P. Lackey. You're out on a rainy late-night quest for a very particular gift. The only problem is you don't know what it is yet… Finding a corner store that's open at this hour must be kismet! With the help of its peculiar proprietor and her unusual inventory, you're sure to find something w

The Microsoft Surface Go 2 Might Be the Best Mini Laptop Yet

Image
From Best Products We judge laptops on a scale of 10, analyzing the categories we think are most important: design, display, and performance. Here's how the Microsoft Surface Go 2 stacks up. On the surface, there aren't a whole lot of differences between Microsoft's latest 2-in-1 laptop and its predecessor. As you'd expect, the all-new Surface Go 2 is a nicer machine overall that packs a more powerful processor and a larger 10.5-inch touchscreen — fortunately without increasing the base model's $399 asking price. Key Specs • Intel Pentium Gold 4425Y or eighth-generation Intel Core m3 dual-core processor• 10.5-inch PixelSense display• 4/8 GB of RAM; 64 GB eMMC or 128 GB SSD• One USB-C port, Surface Connector, MicroSD card reader, headphone jack• LTE connectivity available for extra charge I spent a few days testing the Microsoft Surface Go 2. Although I couldn't use it on the go like the name implies I should, I did my best to use it for the tasks you'd likel

For example, a cable company was working with MECLABS Conversion Marketing Services on a webpage that customers could use to transfer their cable services when they moved. (MECLABS Institute is the parent organization of MarketingSherpa). The control webpage is perfectly logical from a company perspective. Customers wanted to be able to move their account, so let's give them a page to let them move their account. Here is an anonymized look at that page. Image
Tokyo [Japan], May 16 (ANI): Konami's TurboGrafx-16 mini which was earlier scheduled to come out on March 19 will now be launched in North America on May 22. According to the Verge, Konami had delayed the console a few weeks before its release after suspending the manufacturing and shipments of the system as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. The console includes one wired controller, however, a wireless third party controller is also available for USD 24.99. (ANI) Trying out Gradius & Salamander Near-Arcade on the TurboGrafx 16 Mini

Konami's TurboGrafx-16 Mini retro console gets a new May 22 release date

Image
In context: Stripped-down retro console remakes have been all the rage over the past couple of years. As products like the NES Classic, Sega Genesis Mini, SNES Classic, and the PlayStation Classic have hit the market, it's become clear that there's a demand for nostalgic gaming experiences. Konami evidently hoped to capitalize on that demand when it unveiled the TurboGrafx-16 Mini back in June of 2019. A month later, the compact retro console received a full list of included games and a March 19, 2020, release date. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen complications caused by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Konami was forced to delay the TurboGrafx-16 indefinitely. The company's China-based manufacturing and shipping facilities were impacted by the outbreak, leading to an "unavoidable suspension" of their operations. However, as the world has begun to stabilize (slowly) in the wake of this economically-dev

The best cheap desktop computer deals for May 2020

Image
Laptops are ubiquitous in today's fast-paced internet-connected world, but the decades-old desktop PC is still the undisputed champ for gaming and serious productivity. Beefier hardware, more customizability, bigger displays (not to mention the option to easily set up multiple displays if that's your thing), and the ability to use better peripherals like mechanical keyboards are all great reasons to opt for a good desktop computer over a Windows laptop or MacBook for your work, entertainment, and general daily use. Desktop PCs span an enormous range when it comes to specs, price points, and even designs today, with mini desktops and all-in-one PCs offering alternatives to those bulky desktop towers of old (although those still have a place, of course). Put more simply, whatever your budget and needs are — be it work, hardcore gaming, streaming, or all of the above — there's a cheap desktop computer deal out there for you, and we've rounded up a handful of the best one
