Best Buy Kicks Off Huge 3-Day Sale On Video Games iPad Mini MacBooks And More
You may be stuck at home right now, but that doesn't mean Best Buy's online deals have stopped. The retailer has kicked off a new three-day sale that includes a bunch of great games, gadgets, and more that could make staying inside much easier. Best Buy's discounted PS4, Xbox One, and Switch games as well as MacBooks, the iPad Mini, and some excellent headphones. There are a ton of great deals going on at Best Buy right now. That said, stock is limited, and with everyone stuck inside, supplies may not last as long as they usually do.
Over the past few weeks, Best Buy has discounted several different MacBook Pro models. While some of the prices have changed, almost every single model of the MacBook Pro sees a reduced price. Last week, we also saw a discount on the standard iPad, but now there's a discount on the more-powerful iPad Mini. And if you're looking for an awesome controller for your PS4 or PC, then Astro's C40 TR sees a discount as well--it's one of our picks for the best PS4 controllers of 2020.

Best tech deals at Best BuyAstro C40 TR Wireless Controller for PS4 and PC$180 ($200)
The Astro C40 TR is a premium PS4 controller that features an impressive amount of modularity. You can swap the sticks with the D-pad and map buttons to the back paddles. It's one of our favourite modular PS4 controllers, and right now, it's discounted to $180.
iPad Mini64GB -- $350 ($400) | 256GB -- $360 ($550)
It would be understandable if you thought the iPad Mini was less powerful than the standard iPad, but you'd be wrong. The iPad Mini is more like a smaller iPad Air, featuring the same A12 Bionic chip, which makes it much better for gaming and intensive apps. It also features the same storage options--64GB and 256GB. The only major differences are the screen size and the lack of Smart Keyboard support. This makes the iPad Mini the perfect tablet if you're looking for something on which to play games, watch movies and TV, or read books and comics. It comes in three colours and has WiFi and WiFi + Cellular options. All iPad Mini purchases also come with 1 year of Apple TV+.
MacBook Air 13.3-inch (previous-gen)$800 ($1,000) for My Best Buy members
Last week's My Best Buy deal on the previous-gen MacBook Air returns, and if you're looking for a laptop that is perfect for writing essays and surfing the web, then this is a great pick. It features an i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, a 128GB SSD, and 13.3-inch display.
MacBook Pro 13-inch128GB -- $1,100 ($1,300) | 256GB -- $1,600 ($1,800) | 512GB -- $1,800 ($2,000)
The MacBook Pro boasts more powerful specs than the Air, making it better for production and gaming. If you're looking to edit video, audio, and photos, then this is perfect for you. Gaming, however, is a bit of a mixed bag since MacBooks aren't compatible--or powerful enough--to run a lot of the latest releases. Thankfully, it is capable of running a large number of games in its library. The MacBook Pro comes in two different colours with three different storage space options: 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB SSD.
MacBook Pro 16-inch512GB -- $2,200 ($2,400) | 1TB -- $2,600 ($2,800)
My Best Buy members can once again snag a great deal on the most-powerful MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro's 16-inch model is currently featured as a My Best Buy-exclusive deal. Thankfully, you can sign up for a My Best Buy account for free. The 16-inch model comes in two different models: one with 512GB and an AMD Radeon Pro 5300M and one with 1TB and a 5500M. If you're looking for a beast of a MacBook that can handle heavy production and gaming, then you should look nowhere else but here.
Apple HomePod$250 ($300)
My Best Buy members also get the opportunity for a discounted HomePod. The HomePod is Apple's take on a smart speaker, giving its users hands-free access to Siri and Apple Music, among other things. It comes with four free months of Apple Music, though it's important to remember you will need a compatible Apple device to set it up--iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.
Beats by Dr. Dre - PowerBeats³ wireless earbuds$90 ($200)
The PowerBeats³ wireless earbuds continue to be discounted. These earbuds have a huge 12-hour battery life and feature Fast Fuel, which charges the headphones quickly--charging from low battery gives you a one-hour charge after five minutes. These also come with four months of Apple Music as long as you haven't subscribed to the service already.
Beats by Dr. Dre - Beats Studio³ wireless headphones$200 ($350)
